At Sunningdale, where he was the club secretary from 1901 to 1913, Colt modernized Willie Park Jr.'s Old Course, extending it to accommodate the new rubber ball (in a Golf Club Atlas interview earlier this year, the present club secretary, Stephen Toon, said that while the members still considered the Old Course a Willie Park design they could "see Oakley Sunglasses Colt's influence").
